Online Degrees & Courses from the United Kingdom

The UK may not be celebrated for great weather or its fine cuisine, but it has something special when it comes to its universities. UK universities are among the best in the world, with some dating back to the Middle Ages. With the growth of online learning in the UK there's over 400 online degree programmes to choose from - and that's a number that's growing all the time.

The British university system may be long-established with some universities enjoying a culture that can't be rationally explained (Cardiff University has its own Custard Wrestling Society and at Cambridge a society called 'Sheila and Her Dog' enjoys popular meetings where all members pretend they're six-year-olds). However, the University of London was first university in the world to introduce distance learning and the country's first distance learning university, The Open University, opened in 1969.
