Learn To Teach Online
The American historian Jacques Barzun once said, “Teaching is not a lost art, but the regard for it is a lost tradition.”
Teaching is one of the world’s most highly respected careers. We remember the teachers we had in the past who’ve made a difference in our lives. They help inspire our desire to learn then provide the knowledge we need to go further. Our teachers have an impact on our lives so great that only our parents exert more influence. Even if great teachers aren’t revered as true heroes in modern culture, we all had our favourites.
Online learning is in the process of changing the education environment for millions of people who want to learn. The discipline of teaching is spreading its wings beyond the classroom and the new and accessible methods of learning that online education has introduced will inspire many more people to go back to school (albeit virtually) and discover their love for learning. Learning to teach or gaining a qualification for another educational role are certainly things that online learning can offer.
The education sector as a whole has not been the fastest industry to adopt the Internet. Although online learning as a concept has existed for decades, it is only now that it’s becoming established as a respectable and realistic method of learning and is entering the public awareness as an option for education. The increasing use of technology in the classroom has also brought about an expectation for new teachers to understand computers and be Internet-literate. A side benefit of online learning is that it improves computer proficiency through the process of studying.
