Information Systems deal with the management, development and use of an organization's IT infrastructure. Information is an acknowledged business asset. This information can be represented by an organization's experience, innovations and the knowledge acquired by the people within it. Information Systems as a discipline concentrates on how (and why) technology can be best utilized within the flow of information within an organization.
