Information Security, or IT Security, concerns the protection of data from theft and corruption in both storage and communication.
Computer security is often more technical (and mathematical) than most other IT-related fields as it is required to provide a technical strategy to convert negative requirements into positive enforceable rules.
Typically, information security involves secure architecture, operating systems, security programming and secure design. Naturally, computer security requires constraints to be placed upon computers, opposed to all other areas of IT that would aim to remove constraints. Because of this, Information Security is a particularly challenging area.
