The University of Liverpool, in common with all UK universities, is regulated and monitored by a government body, the QAA. Some UK universities have also been awarded a Royal Charter, which was granted to Liverpool in 1903.
Many countries, including the US and Canada, accept the standard of degrees awarded by UK universities as equivalent to their own.
None. You do not need to be a UK resident as all our degrees are 100% online.
All University of Liverpool online Masters programmes are taught 100% via the Internet, giving career professionals access to a level of higher education that may otherwise be out of reach because of work or family responsibilities.
This accessibility is made possible because there are no fixed lecture times, the classroom is always open and there is no need to synchronise study with anyone else. In completing their assignments, students can interact with instructors and classmates whenever and wherever suits them best.
All courses are delivered online one at a time, so students can get to grips with the subject and explore it in real depth. We carefully compose each individual study group from a student body representing a wide variety of experience, so that feedback from classmates is stimulating and inspiring, bringing both specialist knowledge and fresh perspectives.
I have been working for Canon for 15 years and my responsibilities involve the overall management of a department, comprising the planning, design, implementation and formulation of strategies for the company's data and voice communications network architecture. I have previously worked for a large Canadian bank, the largest grocery business in Canada and in the telecommunications sector of the investment and insurance industries. As my responsibilities in various organisations have involved managing a department, I have always wanted to pursue an MBA, not only to gain a degree but also to equip myself with the knowledge, principles and practices of management. However, a full time or even a part time campus-based programme was impossible because of time constraints. Moreover, full time attendance at university would have meant that I had to leave work for a year or two, which was not financially viable. Although I considered the online alternative, I wanted to pursue a degree from a well-established and reputable university with physical presence and not just from an exclusively online institution. I am happy to say that although the programme was quite challenging both in terms of time management and adjusting family priorities, I enjoyed the learning process immensely, including the course content, the interaction with other students and their ideas and the team projects. The programme also fulfilled my desire to achieve an MBA degree and I shall definitely recommend this programme to anyone with a similar background.
