Frequently Asked Questions
Study2U offers a directory of degrees and courses offered by colleges and universities around the world. Established in 2002, we're proud of the fact that our website has helped hundreds of people find a convenient way to study and achieve their goals.
Below we've answered some of the questions we're asked most frequently.
Does Study2U offer its own degrees?
No, Study2U lists accredited online degrees and courses for educational institutes. We don't offer degrees or any other sort of course or program ourselves.
What's a MOOC?
MOOCs are a great way of getting a taste of a subject, although are not indepth and don't include the guidance from a tutor you can expect from a paid course. Typically a MOOC does not offer any sort of academic credit.
Online learning is not for everyone and enroling on a degree programme is an investment of both time and money. A MOOC can serve as a way of testing the waters before jumping into a structured online degree.
Study2U only list accredited programmes that lead to a formal academic award, so do not list MOOCs on our site.
How do you ensure the quality of the degrees you offer?
We can't make guarantees about a the quality of a program we list, but we do our best to ensure they meet a certain standard. We make sure the courses we list are accredited (especially relevant in the US) or the degree is awarded by a government-recognised higher education institute, such as a public university in the UK.
