With core modules covering epidemiology and qualitative research methods, the MPH programme provides students with a thorough understanding of all the main disciplines of public health, and gives students a strong basis for progression to a high-level career within the area. Students will explore the application of appropriate study designs, their critical appraisal and the essential principles and procedures for ethical practice.
The degree may be personalised via a wide range of elective modules ranging from Health Impact Assessment through to Health Promotion, from Environment and Health to Public Health Nutrition. The program is completed with a dissertation that's based on students' individual public health research.
Aside from the core subject matter, students will develop additional cognitive, team, research, ICT, communication, numeracy and project planning skills that are ideally suited to a high-level career within Public Health.
