The aims of the Master's in Human Resource Management are to produce practitioners who are capable of:
The basic requirement for successful admission to the programme is a good honours classification (2:2 or above) first degree. Other qualifications (honours degree equivalent) will be considered, with entry being subject to the University's judgement that the person has reasonable expectation of being able to fulfil the requirements of the award.
The Course Leader will consider any candidate who has completed the Graduate Certificate in Management Studies (Access Programme) who also has sufficient work experience in the HR function and who appears capable of completing a demanding programme at Masters level.
The supported online version of the Human Resource Management course has been developed to provide the opportunity of a study path for those who are unable to study either by full or part-time modes in the University.
Our masters in HRM is the first to be fully accredited by the CIPD. Therefore, on successful completion of the PGDip, graduates are eligible for Graduate Membership of the CIPD.
This mode of study is delivered online through the Robert Gordon University Virtual Campus which forms the same challenging interactive environment as for the on-campus modes of study.
The structure and content of the Distance-Learning mode is the same as the on-campus mode and delivery is co-ordinated by the same subject specialists. The fact that your course is delivered by the Virtual Campus offers you some flexibility in the timing of your studies.
